| Introduction | A Location in Skuttlefish represents a physical place where products are stocked, managed, sold, or orders are fulfilled. Common examples of locations include retail stores, warehouses, and pop-up shops. Locations play a critical role in inventory tracking by associating product quantities with specific physical spaces. This enables accurate inventory management, fulfillment operations, and synchronization with connected sales platforms. Note: Currently, Skuttlefish supports inventory tracking and synchronization for a single Location per Shopify storefront. However, support for managing multiple Locations per store—aligned with Shopify’s multi-location capabilities—is planned for future releases. |

Channels represent external sales platforms where products are listed and sold. These may include Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, or other e-commerce marketplaces.
The Associated Channels represents the store which the Location is connected.
Note: Skuttlefish currently supports connection to a single Channel (Shopify) for inventory synchronization and order fulfillment. Support for multiple Channels—including other e-commerce marketplaces—is planned in a future release to enable centralized management of inventory across multiple storefronts and platforms.
The Location Updates flag determines if Shopify updates to the Location are synchronized to Skuttlefish.
